St Philip Howard is a very successful and over-subscribed 11 to 18 mixed comprehensive school with an excellent reputation. In a latest OFSTED inspection (April 2016), the school was judged to be an ´Outstanding´ school in all categories! The school has a family atmosphere and supportive ethos. Barnham is a village with rail links to Arundel, Chichester, Bognor Regis and beyond.

• In 2018 78% of our Year 11 students attained 5+ A*-C (74% including English and Maths).
• In 2018 Sixth Form students achieved 60% A*-B and 99% pass rate at A Level.

TEACHING ASSISTANT (32.5hrs, term time only)

Salary WSCC Grade 4 (point 14) £17,681 pro rata, equating to £12,902.35 per annum 8.30am - 4.00pm Monday Friday

We are looking to appoint an individual with a genuine passion for working with students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Our teaching assistants work with young people in the classroom, in small group and one to one interventions.

Clerk to the Trust Board and Local Governing Body Approximately 12 hours a week during term-time

Salary WSCC Grade 6 (hourly rate:£10.27 - £10.92)

Required as soon as possible, an enthusiastic person to fulfil the role of Clerk to the Trust Board and Local Governing Body. The role involves a high level of confidentiality and flexibility, and covers a range of tasks such as taking detailed minutes and providing constitutional advice and effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees. There are approximately 24 evening or daytime meetings per year, plus preparation and follow-up.
