Geography

"I like geography. I like to know where places are." – Tom Felton

Throughout their time studying Geography in the school, students learn about a variety of topics from tectonics to coasts, energy to ecosystems and everything in between!

We are members of the Geographical Association (GA) and the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) and so ensure students have up to date information and resources at their fingertips. Along with this we have 15 computers in the department, ensuring students have easy access to information and computing equipment at all times.

There are many extracurricular opportunities available including help with homework, revision and exam support after school in the form of drop in sessions. We also have our very own eco club, a whole school initiative, which students can get involved with. This allows students to have their voices heard on environmental issues and gives them the opportunity to tackle them in a proactive way, both in school and outside of the classroom.

Fieldtrips take place regularly throughout the year, both locally and further afield, including those to places such as Swanage, Pulborough Brooks and Worthing.
